Create direct v07 installation media

1. Download galactic-mandate-linux-v07.iso from the Downloads page.
2. Verify SHA-256 db8202dd6115cc7c393866c6843669b44c3248b6ae7cc8f454ad719874f55f69 and confirm the file size is 6,330,202,112 bytes.
3. Insert an 8 GB or larger USB drive and back up its contents.
4. Use a trusted image writer such as balenaEtcher; choose the v07 ISO, select the correct USB, then write and validate it.

BIOS, UEFI, and Safe Graphics

• Legacy BIOS: use the non-UEFI USB entry on older systems.
• UEFI: use the standard removable-media path through the signed EFI loader.
• Safe Graphics: use this entry when normal graphics initialization has a blank screen or display corruption.

If the USB is not listed, try another physical port, open the one-time boot menu, and record the computer model, boot mode, image writer, USB model, GPU, and driver.

Live environment and first start

1. Boot the prepared v07 USB.
2. Test network, graphics, audio, keyboard, pointing devices, sleep, and display scaling.
3. Launch the single themed graphical installer shortcut from the live desktop or application menu.
4. After installation, take the first-start tour and open NF Control Center.

Using Galactic Mandate Linux

v07 includes ten coordinated theme worlds: Resolute, Ojoker, Echo, Blueprint, Security, Biochamber, BB Storm, Agent, Cape Town, and OS13. Files, Terminal, panel, Raven, icons, window chrome, context menus, alerts, sounds, and hyperspace transitions follow the selected theme.

The NF collection includes NF Control Center, NF Files, NF Terminal, Notepad, Media Player, Web Browser, Tube View, File Map, Space Explorer, eDEX Cockpit, Celebration, Search, Sticky Notes, Task Manager, the first-start tour, and themed shortcuts.

Check signed updates

Open NF Control Center, choose UPDATES, and press CHECK. This is a manual signed release check.

Troubleshooting and diagnostic information

USB or boot issue

Verify the v07 checksum, recreate the USB, try another port, check BIOS/UEFI mode, and try Safe Graphics when relevant. Include boot mode, writer, USB model, GPU, and driver in a report.

Graphics, Wi-Fi, or audio issue

Record the hardware, driver, firmware mode, and whether the issue occurs in the live session or installed system. Ask in the forum when the issue may be configuration-specific.

Useful read-only diagnostics

Review logs before publishing them. They may contain usernames, hostnames, network addresses, filesystem paths, device identifiers, or other system details.
